History

Yatagan was a French Framée-class destroyer, launched 27 July, 1900. Commissioned that October, she was armed with one 65mm (2.6") and six 47mm (1.9") guns, plus two 380mm (15") torpedo tubes. Top speed was 26 knots, with a cruise range of 2,055 nautical miles. Yatagan was assigned to fishery protection duties at the outbreak of World War I. She sank after collision with the British steamer Teviot on 3 November, 1916.
