USS Olympia (SSN-717) was a Los Angeles-class attack submarine of the US Pacific Fleet. Laid down on 31 March, 1981, Olympia commissioned on 17 November, 1984. In 1998, she became the first Pacific Fleet sub to transit the Suez Canal since 1963. She was equipped with four 21" (533mm) tubes for torpedoes, Harpoon anti-shipping missiles, or Tomahawk cruise missiles. Based at Pearl Harbor, Los Angeles was the oldest submarine in the fleet between August, 2018, and her decommissioning on 31 October, 2019. She is slated to be scrapped via the Ship/Submarine Recycling Program.
