Jarrett participated in both the Tanker War, and the Gulf War, escorting the battleship USS Missouri during the latter. In February, 2000, Jarrett supported the search for survivors and wreckage from the crash of Alaskan Airlines Flight 261, and was involved in counter-narcotics operations in the eastern Pacific in May-October, 2009. Jarrett was decommissioned 21 April, 2011, and was scrapped in Louisiana from June, 2015.
