HMAS Albany (ACPB 86) is a Armidale-class patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy commissioned 15 July, 2006. Displacing just 300 tons, she has a top speed of 25 knots, and a crew of twenty-one. Her diesel engines give Albany a cruise range of 3,000 nautical miles, and she can stay at sea for forty-two days. Albany is armed with a M242 Bushmaster 25mm autocannon on a stabilized Typhoon platform, and a pair of 12.7mm machine guns. Homeported in Darwin, Albany is assigned to border and fishery patrol duty.
