A Soviet Project 1265 (Sonya-class) coastal minesweeper, BT-244 was laid down 31 March, 1987. Commissioned 25 October, 1988, he was given the name German Ugryumov on 5 September, 2001. Displacing 460 tons, and with a top speed of 14 knots, and carries MTU-4 9K34 "Strela-3" SAMs, a 30 mm AK-230M, and a 25 mm 2M-3M for defense. BT-244 is assigned to the Caspian Flotilla.

Fun Fact: BT-244 originally carried the hull number 564, but it was changed to 531 in 2000, to 500 in 2004, and 562 in 2016.
